Learning at Westlink is based on three key pillars: knowledge, skills, and taking action.
Students acquire knowledge through what is taught. At the same time, they are introduced to and supported with the development of skills, such as critical thinking, research, communication, social and self management. Using their acquired knowledge and skills, students are expected to take action to continue their learning and contribute to society.
OUR PROGRAM: IB Program and Bilingual Stream
IB Program (International Baccalaureate):
Students can join the world-class IB Program. The curriculum includes a combination of the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, with specialist areas including Languages, Art, Music, ICT, PE and Drama. IB programs encourage both personal development and academic achievement, challenging students to think critically, ask the right questions, and think across disciplines. They will ensure that students are fully equipped and prepared to successfully enter university anywhere across the world.
Our Bilingual Stream blends the curriculum issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) with the US curriculum, as well as a student-centered teaching approach that focuses on cultivating English acquisition, problem-solving, critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration skills. At the end of Grade 9, students will transfer to the International Program and undertake a specially devised preparation year for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP).
Amazing Learning
Amazing learning happens when our learners simply surprise themselves – and their parents and teachers, too – with the levels of learning they have reached. They have gotten to a level beyond which they thought was remotely possible.
We want all our students to experience Amazing Learning. We want our children, students and families to be able to say, “It is because I have been at Westlink that I have done better than I thought I would.”
At Westlink International School, your children will be both motivated and inspired while being immersed in a 21st-century learning environment where ideas will become dreams and dreams will become realities. As students participate in and take charge of their individual learning, their sense of educational ownership will be evident both internally within themselves and externally in our school community. As hard as their work might often seem, students will be happy and satisfied as they share their knowledge and expertise with you at home.
