We had an our very first amazing assembly start to the school year, and it was a truly lovely and touching evening!
Ms. Anya and Ms. Nella, our dedicated PYP and MYP Coordinators, played a pivotal role in making the assembly special. They captivated us with their passion for the IB Learner Profile and introduced a touching video showcasing our students sharing their personal interpretations of what it means to be Caring. This video was a poignant reminder of the empathy and kindness that are central to our school values. The highlight of the assembly was Ms. Anya’s engaging story time featuring “The Invisible Boy,” a moving narrative that emphasized the importance of kindness and understanding within our school community. The story resonated deeply with everyone and reinforced our commitment to nurturing a supportive and inclusive environment.
To further celebrate our spirit of care, the entire school came together to sing “Happy Birthday” to all students and teachers who had birthdays during the summer, showing that we truly care about each member of our community. An our very first amazing assembly ended on a high note with a special gift from our teachers and a beautiful performance of the Kindness Song. Stay tuned for the video – you won’t want to miss it!
As September is Caring Month at Westlink International School, we have many exciting activities planned to celebrate kindness and empathy. Let’s all strive to be kind and caring every day!
