Ms. Hillary is a highly experienced international school educator with 30 years in education, including 17 years as a principal. She is a personable, creative, resilient school leader with experience in mainstream, special and international schools. In her long career in education, she has turned a failing school around through reinventing the curriculum, building a highly skilled workforce and designing a new school building. Hinchliff has a passion for curriculum design and has implemented a systematic and pedagogical change in the schools she has led. She has a Bachelor of Education Honors Degree and Postgraduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs. Hinchliff has achieved the National Professional Qualification for Headship and has recently been honoured to accept a Fellowship with the Chartered College for Teaching in the UK in recognition of her 30 years of service to education.

Throughout her 26 year career, Anya has been fortunate enough to be able to work in some amazing international IB schools in Asia and Europe and is thrilled to add Westlink International School to that list! Having spent 16 years as a PYP homeroom teacher, Anya transitioned into a leadership role 10 years ago. Since then she has been a PYP coordinator and Director of Teaching and Learning. Besides having the honour to work alongside some phenomenal inquiry practitioners, one of the greatest highlights of her job has always been her continued work with the students in her schools, whether it be running research sessions with the 5th graders during their PYP Exhibition, reading stories to the grade 1 students for mother-tongue language celebrations or helping to support grade 3 students on developing their Learner Profile attributes. Anya believes in a strong home-school partnership and looks forward to supporting the Westlink families in better understanding the IBPYP curriculum framework. In her free time Anya enjoys swimming, reading and cooking!
