Under the transdisciplinary theme ‘Sharing The Planet’, Grade 4 students have been actively exploring the topic of Children’s Rights Education. As part of this learning journey, they had the privilege of welcoming a representative from Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation – Ms Minh Trang, who shared impactful stories about street children in Vietnam.
Through interactive discussions and collaborative group work, they not only grasped the gravity of the situation but also familiarized themselves with child labour laws, empowering themselves with knowledge and understanding.
Understanding child labor has deepened students’ awareness, highlighting the importance of being Inquirers, Knowledgeable and Caring individuals. The experience left the students with an understanding that every child should get the children’s rights education and can express their thoughts and wonderings to people around them. It also has inspired them to take responsibility for their community and empathize with those in challenging situations.
