Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is not only Indiaโs most important holiday but also marks the triumph of good over evil and signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance and hope over despair. Diwali always falls between October and November, but the exact date varies each year as the Hindu calendar is based on the Moon. In 2023, Diwali is on Sunday 12 November.
