Our Grade 1 students had a fantastic time building their own LEGO communities! They started by creating essential elements like schools, vehicles, and buildings, exploring how to connect and grow a community. Each class took a unique approach: 1IL focused on individual creativity before combining their projects, while 1LM worked together from the start to build small communities.
The activity also highlighted important roles in everyday life, such as dentists, scientists, and police officers. By the end, students reflected on how to support their communities and become good citizens in the future. It was a fun and meaningful way to learn about teamwork and creativity!
