Exploring Landmarks and Cultivating Connection

In the Unit of Inquiry, “Where we are in Place and Time’, Grade 2S had an enriching and engaging experience when they took a tour around Hanoi’s landmarks in the Old Quarter, immersing themselves in the stories to deepen appreciation and connection. Students posted postcards, learned history at the Ly Thai To statue, and rode cyclos to the Hanoi Opera House, sparking discovery in their own backyard.
“As educators, we understand that genuine learning transcends the four walls of the classroom. It’s about fostering connections- to ideas, to people, and perhaps most importantly, to the places we call home. By immersing ourselves in the stories of Hanoi’s landmarks, we were able to not only deepen our appreciation for our surroundings but also cultivate a sense of belonging and connection.” – Ms Dani, Grade 2S teacher shared
